Suicide Risk

When you connect with a crisis counselor, they will ask about your situation and assess your risk of suicide.

If You Are At Risk of Suicide

If the counselor determines that you are at imminent risk of suicide, they will employ best practices to handle the situation. Crisis counselors are trained to help individuals work through a suicidal episode, providing support and resources to help stabilize the situation.

If You Are Not At Risk of Suicide

If the crisis counselor determines that you are not at immediate risk of suicide, they will attempt to de-escalate the situation and offer follow-up services. They can provide guidance on finding appropriate care and support in your area.
